KidneyProject.org is a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the word of organ donation. I have started this movement because without organ donation I would not be here today. Three years ago a call came through, it was an opportunity for a life saving kidney transplant. I use the term life saving because my life only improved and continues to from the benefit of the donation. I am a better person; without the hazards of dialysis. Receiving a kidney has not only changed me, it affected all those around me. People that surround me can see the difference.
The Kidney Project decided to start a cycling club, Team Kidney Project (TKP). The idea of TKP is to help spread the mission of The Kidney Project. Throughout my life cycling has helped me. Cycling is an activity that can be enjoyed across any stage of people’s life span.
My heart and soul have been poured into this idea. I hope that you will join me in this movement of organ donation, by joining this great cause. KidneyProject.org’s mission is carried out by providing athletes with the opportunity to join a cause worthy club, and receive benefits that many athletes would not be available get on their own. Athletes of all ages, abilities, and sport disciplines are encouraged and welcomed to join. The more people talk and are aware of organ donation, the better off we are as a society. As we shed light on the desperate need of organ donation, KidneyProject.org has every intention of keeping that light growing into a worldwide name.
